A conversation between two eminent environmentalists who, from different areas, work in the care and preservation of our planet. One led the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the other is a writer, filmmaker and adventurer. They will analyze the importance of civil society participation in the transition from fossil fuel consumption to renewable energy sources. It is time for civil society to take their responsibility and demand and encourage a change of direction in global energy policies.

Rajendra K. Pachauri

R K Pachauri (980 KB)He was Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change from 2002 to 2015, the organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. He has been the Chief Executive of The Energy Resources Institute in New Delhi since 1982, first as Director, and then Director-General from April 2001 to February, 2016.
